Marcelo R.R. Alves

I am a mathematician thinking mostly about dynamical systems, topology, and geometry. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

I did my doctoral studies in Brussels and Paris under the supervision of Frédéric Bourgeois and Chris Wendl.

From January-2016 until October-2017 I was a postdoc at the Université de Neuchâtel, where I worked with Felix Schlenk. 

From October-2017 until the end of November-2018 I was a postdoc at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, where I worked with Alberto Abbondandolo.  From December 2018 until the end of October 2020 I was a postdoctoral researcher at the ULB-Brussels, working with Joel Fine and Mélanie Bertelson.
From November 2020 until October 2024, I was an FWO Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Antwerp, where my host was Sonja Hohloch.
